This is a feast! Bacon-wrapped venison ๐ŸฆŒ backstrap indirectly cooked on the kamado.โฃ

For seasoning, I only used pepper, salt, and some rosemary on the backstrap. Then I wrapped it with bacon and cooked it at 105ยฐC/220ยฐf. This way the meat stayed really tender and juicy. At the end, I seared the backstrap in order to crisp up the bacon.โฃ

To finish it, I made a nice mushroom creme sauce to make it more festive. ๐ŸŽ‰

I totally love burgers, and not long ago I discovered SMASH burgers. 

I just found out this is my new favorite way to make burgers... by smashing them... That way you can add two patties to your burger. Thatโ€™s definitely a win!

Given that I got @oreo's and bacon available, I said why not!?โฃ

Slow-cooked the Oreo's ๐Ÿช and bacon ๐Ÿฅ“ for over an hour till the cream got really soft and the bacon ๐Ÿฅ“ got crispy. The rest is history.โฃ

In my personal opinion, not bad, glad I tried it. And btw, the secret is in the rub! Play with your rubs and you'll get different results every time!โฃ

Wild Game season is one of my favorite seasons. The meat that is available is truly delicious. On the condition, you like it off course.โฃ

This time I slow cooked a Venison Backstrap, wrapped in bacon. Why in bacon? Well, Venison backstrap is quite a lean meat, so by putting bacon on it, I added a layer of fat. Besides, who doesn't like bacon?โฃ
