Gestoofde Aardappelblokjes met Gesmolten Kaas

Wanneer ik volk ontvang maak ik graag op voorhand de mise en place klaar zodat ik, wanneer mijn gasten er zijn, alles maar moet afbakken.
Deze gestoofde aardappelen vragen alleen wat snijwerk zodat je ze op het moment zelf enkel maar moet “bakken”. 
Benodigdheden voor 4 personen:

  • 800 gr krielaardappelen of kleine aardappelen
  • Olijfolie
  • 2 ajuinen
  • 2 eetlepels paprikapoeder
  • 50 gr chedarkaas, geraspt
  • aluminiumfolie of -bakje

Setup van de BBQ:Directe zone Grillen BBQ

  • Maak de barbecue klaar om direct te grillen op medium temperatuur van 180 – 220 C.

Bereidingswijze:

  1. Was en snij de aardappelen in de lengte door en snij ze daarna nogmaals in de lengte door. Maak er daarna blokjes van.
  2. Halveer de ajuinen en snij ze in plakjes.
  3. Doe 2 eetlepels olijfolie in de aluminium bakjes, leg de ajuin en aardappelen in het bakje en giet er nogmaals 2 eetlepels olijfolie en strooi de paprikapoeder over. Meng alles goed.
  4. Sluit het aluminiumbakje af met aluminiumfolie en bak direct voor zo’n 25 minuten. Schud regelmatig om de aardappelen los te maken.
  5. Haal de aluminiumfolie van het bakje, strooi de kaas over de aardappelen en bak nog zo’n 5 minuten (ongedekt) of tot de kaas gesmolten is.
  6. Smakelijk

 Tip:

  • Je dan deze aardappelen ook maken ik een papillot.

This is a feast! Bacon-wrapped venison 🦌 backstrap indirectly cooked on the kamado.⁣
⁣
For seasoning, I only used pepper, salt, and some rosemary on the backstrap. Then I wrapped it with bacon and cooked it at 105°C/220°f. This way the meat stayed really tender and juicy. At the end, I seared the backstrap in order to crisp up the bacon.⁣

To finish it, I made a nice mushroom creme sauce to make it more festive. 🎉

Okay, you got me. I wasn't planning on doing these, but then again I got curious. 🤷‍♂️⁣

Given that I got @oreo's and bacon available, I said why not!?⁣

Slow-cooked the Oreo's 🍪 and bacon 🥓 for over an hour till the cream got really soft and the bacon 🥓 got crispy. The rest is history.⁣

In my personal opinion, not bad, glad I tried it. And btw, the secret is in the rub! Play with your rubs and you'll get different results every time!⁣

Wild Game season is one of my favorite seasons. The meat that is available is truly delicious. On the condition, you like it off course.⁣

This time I slow cooked a Venison Backstrap, wrapped in bacon. Why in bacon? Well, Venison backstrap is quite a lean meat, so by putting bacon on it, I added a layer of fat. Besides, who doesn't like bacon?⁣

I seasoned the meat first with salt, pepper, and garlic. That's it! ⁣

I could eat chickens wings 🐓 every day. Easy and fast to make.

These I made low&slow 🔥 after brining them in the Gold Brine of @devliegendehollanderbbqteam . At the very end I grilled them to give them a color and the sauced them really good with @blueshognation Tennessee Red.
